A pianist and a teacher born in Delft, Holland.
Mr. Poelstra earned his diploma in 1989 at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag (The Royal Conservatory of The Hague), where he studied with Geoffrey Douglas Madge, Naum Grubert, and Theo Bruins. He has taught piano in Holland since 1987, also he gave concerts in Germany, Holland and Japan. He attended masterclasses of Vlado Perlemuter, Earl Wild, Dimitri Bashkirov, Yvonne Loriod and György Sebők.
He moved to Japan in 2013, teaching and giving concerts regularly. He also has a piano duo with his wife, they give recitals together.
